Our kayaks can be outfitted as doubles or singles and include paddles, backrests, life-jackets and car-topping equipment. It is an all day rental but most people finish within 4-5 hours.

6. Return & Relax
Bring your gear back to the drop site at the end of your rental. We’ll take care of the clean-up so you can just relax and enjoy the rest of your day.
Important Rental Information

Per State and County regulations, all self-guided kayak rentals must be transported by the guest.
We provide soft roof racks and straps, and our team will assist you in securely attaching the kayak(s) to your car.
Please keep the following in mind:
- Meet-up location is at our shop next door to Kauai Backcounty Adventures.
- Our address: 3-4251 Kuhio Highway
- Unit 3-3, Lihue HI 96766
- You must be able to lift the 75 pound Kayak overhead to load on your car for the return trip.
- We’ll assist with loading and securing the kayaks using our provided gear
- delivery available with advance reservation for the Sheraton Coconut Beach, Hilton Garden Inn, Outrigger, Kauai Shores, Aston Islander, Kauai Coast Resort, Plantation Hale Suites.

Common Questions
You should bring sunscreen, plenty of water, a hat, sunglasses, footwear and swimsuit or clothes you don’t mind getting wet.
Several small stream crossings on the way. Good water shoes with solid tread recommended.
We provide the kayak or paddle board, paddles, and life jackets.
We recommend you bring snacks, a waterproof phone case, and a towel for after your adventure. Remember the water!
You can rent a kayak or paddle board by the day or by the week. Let us know how much time you want, and we’ll help you get set up for your adventure.
We don’t have late fees
